The Cotswolds

The Cotswolds is an area of outstanding natural beauty. It provides the perfect setting for relaxation with its stunning views, rolling countryside, and beautiful market towns and villages. It is a place to enjoy leisure time with a wealth of places to visit and activities to take part in.

Events

Visit in March to enjoy the Cheltenham Festival and Gold Cup. The Badminton Horse Trials in May is 10 miles away from the Water Park while the Royal International Air Tattoo takes place every July in Fairford just a few miles from our holiday cottage.


The Water Park

The Water Park covers over 40 square miles and has over 140 lakes offering a wide range of outdoor pursuits:

Eating out

The market town of Cirencester is just 4 miles away and here you can find a variety of excellent restaurants to suit all tastes. Or take a short walk into the village of South Cerney which has 3 pubs to choose from. Alternatively, there are a number of Cotswold villages nearby with traditional pubs to eat or drink in.


Spa relaxation

Visit Spa 6 at the nearby luxurious Cotswold Water Park Four Pillars Hotel.  Pamper yourself with an extensive selection of spa treatments and enjoy the spa facilities: hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room, experience showers, ice fountain, state of the art gym, and relaxation room.


David Lloyd Leisure

Day passes can be obtained from us at a cost of £7 per person for adults and children (children under the age of 2 are free). David Lloyd Leisure is just 15 minutes away and a day pass entitles you to full membership rights for the day. Facilities include tennis, badminton and basketball courts; indoor and outdoor heated pools, kids splash pool, sauna, steam room, and spa (charges apply); state of the art gym; sports hall; children's den and crèche (charges apply); hair and beauty salon; sports shop; bar and restaurant; internet cafe and wireless internet access. Passes are flexible and do not have to be used on a particular day. Some facilities may require booking in advance.
